National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested a 36-year-old man with a police record as the alleged perpetrator of a robbery with force in a house in Arrecife.

The events were triggered after a citizen called 091, reporting that he was watching an individual force the window of a house in the capital of Lanzarote.

The agents who went to the scene observed how the window of the house was forced and open, verifying that it was under renovation. However, after carrying out an inspection inside, they did not locate the alleged perpetrator.

Moments later, while the agents were interviewing a neighbor, they were alerted by the residents of a house adjacent to the one mentioned, stating that they had detained an individual who was hiding on their roof behind an air conditioning unit.

The agents went to the address and confirmed that the person they had detained fully matched the physical characteristics provided by the caller. In addition, the residents stated that they were missing cash that they had in their home.
