A new boat has been intercepted this Thursday near the coasts of Lanzarote, where it has been transferred by Salvamento Marítimo. On the boat, which is the third to arrive on the island in a day, were about 58 people of sub-Saharan origin.
According to the Emergency Consortium, the boat departed from Tan Tan, south of Morocco, and among the occupants are 8 women and 3 minors.
The previous two, which have also been towed to the commercial dock of Arrecife by Salvamar, arrived during the early morning. One was carrying 46 people, including 8 women and 3 minors; and the other 57, with 9 women and 3 children.
With these, there are already 5 boats that have reached Lanzarote so far this week, after the one that arrived by its own means to Punta Mujeres this Wednesday, with 37 immigrants inside, and the rescued this Tuesday with 57 people on board.
