Andrónico Pérez, who was until two months ago president of UD Lanzarote, has reported to the National Police that he suffered an attack by José Domingo Machín, who was also the top leader of the rojillo club.
According to the complaint, which La Voz has had access to, the events took place at around 3:30 p.m. on August 20 when, upon leaving his company and arriving at the vehicle, Pérez was "approached" by Machín, who began "hitting him without saying a word", causing him "a series of lacerations on the skin of his face, lower lip and abrasions on his elbows". Likewise, Pérez states in his complaint that Machín threw him "to the ground" and gave him "several kicks", managing after a few minutes to "get rid of his attacker" and leave the scene.
Specifically, according to the medical report from the clinic he went to after the events, Pérez presented various generalized minor injuries to his face and arms and a "moderate" one to his left eye.
Andrónico Pérez did not want to make statements to La Voz about what happened, but in his complaint he stated that he believed that José Domingo Machín could "be upset" with him because he was appointed president of UD Lanzarote a few months ago. In fact, he indicates that when they coincided at an event, he had said to him "Be careful with me", followed by "various insults", but that he had "not" "taken it into account" or wanted to "give it importance".
