An 18-year-old girl died and three people were injured of varying degrees is the result of the overturning of a vehicle that occurred on Wednesday morning around 08:35 hours on the LZ 56 road at the height of Tinguatón, in the Lanzarote municipality of Tinajo, as reported by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
An 18-year-old boy has been seriously injured and remains in critical condition at the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife where he was transferred in a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC). In addition, the accident caused two other injuries, one minor and another who were evacuated in a Civil Protection ambulance. More data is unknown about both.
The 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. Firefighters and Civil Protection personnel released the occupants of the vehicle, as they were trapped.
The medical personnel of the SUC assisted those affected at the scene and, despite the attempts, could not do anything to save the life of the young woman. The man who presented the most serious injuries was stabilized and transferred to the aforementioned hospital center and there were also two more injured, with mild contusions, who were evacuated to a hospital by Civil Protection and Emerlan ambulances.
The Civil Guard instructed the corresponding proceedings.
