The firefighters of the Security and Emergency Consortium had to rescue this Monday through the window of a house in Arrecife a woman who suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest.
The events took place around 12:45 hours on José Alonso street in the capital. After being alerted by the Cecoes that there was a person inside a house and she was not responding, the firefighters went to the place. Upon arrival, they verified that the house had a security door and the lock had also been manipulated by a neighbor with a drill, so the cylinder could not be removed.
Given the urgency in opening the door, which could not be opened with the 'halligan', a special tool used by firefighters, they proceeded to enter through an open window with the help of a ladder. Once inside, the firefighters found a 44-year-old woman, who was on the floor with convulsions.
The firefighters opened the door from the inside and proceeded to provide first aid. Because the woman had gone into cardiorespiratory arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were performed, managing to revive her twice. Once the health services arrived, they took care of the woman who was evacuated to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
Subsequently, the firefighters proceeded to enable the door so that it would not close, since the lock was bad, with the mother of the affected person taking charge of the house.
