National Police agents have arrested a 39-year-old Romanian woman in Arrecife, as she was internationally wanted by Interpol. There was a European arrest warrant for extradition at the request of the Romanian judicial authorities.
The events unfolded when police agents from the Arrecife Police Station learned that a 39-year-old Romanian woman was residing on the island of Lanzarote, who was internationally wanted by Interpol for "a fraud crime."
There was a European arrest warrant for extradition at the request of the Romanian judicial authorities, so once she was located, she was arrested and transferred to police headquarters. The two minor children of the arrested woman were placed under the custody of her brother.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Local Judicial Police Brigade of the Arrecife Police Station.
