A 55-year-old woman has been injured with moderate multiple contusions after her vehicle overturned on the LZ-1, near Guatiza.
The accident occurred around 00.55 hours this Monday. At that time, the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting that a vehicle had overturned on the aforementioned road with an injured person.
Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium, the Civil Guard and two SUC ambulances, one medicalized and one basic life support, were transferred to the scene.
According to the Consortium, the woman was alone in the vehicle and was taken out of it "by a private individual." SUC personnel assessed and assisted the injured woman, who was transferred in a medicalized ambulance to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Civil Guard was in charge of instructing the corresponding proceedings, while the firefighters of the Consortium proceeded to disconnect the vehicle's horn, which was sounding, and to neutralize the spillage from the gasoline tank that was occurring on the road. The firefighters also cleaned the road and turned the vehicle over when the crane arrived.
