National Police agents have arrested in Arrecife a 43-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, both with numerous police records, as alleged perpetrators of a theft inside a home. The victim was alone at home when she noticed that there was a woman hiding in one of the rooms of the house. They stole several jewels valued at more than 5,000 euros, which they later sold in a jewelry store in Arrecife.
The events unfolded after a citizen alerted the 091 telephone line, warning that while she was alone at home, she noticed the presence of a woman in one of the rooms of her house, who was carrying a backpack and a bag.
The police officers who went to the scene interviewed the victim, who informed them that when she realized the presence of this woman, she invited her to leave her house where another individual was waiting for her, without realizing the jewels that had been stolen from her.
The investigators carried out a series of investigations that allowed them to locate the stolen jewels in a jewelry store in the city of Arrecife, and to identify the two alleged perpetrators of the theft. Therefore, the police officers proceeded to locate and arrest the couple as alleged perpetrators of a theft of jewels valued at more than 5,000 euros.
After the corresponding police report was prepared, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents from the Arrecife Police Station.
