A car caught fire on Thursday afternoon in Playa Blanca, as reported by the Emergency Consortium.
The incident took place around 3:00 p.m. on Papagayo Avenue near the taxi rank in the tourist town.
After being alerted by the CECOES, Local Police officers and firefighters were dispatched. When the emergency teams arrived, the fire had already been extinguished with a multipurpose dry powder extinguisher, but there was a fuel spill.
The firefighters strangled it with a flange, absorbed the gasoline with sepiolite, and disconnected the battery.
