A smoke inhalation injury in a house fire in Arrecife

The fire started in a mattress and was extinguished by a young man

A woman was transferred to Molina Orosa for smoke inhalation in the fire that took place in a house on the first floor, on Puerto Rico street in Arrecife.

The fire occurred around 5:30 p.m. this Tuesday when a call alerted the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands, reporting the fire.

According to reports from the Consortium, it was a mattress that had been extinguished by a young man and then moved to the balcony.

Outside, there were a girl and two children, the health personnel assisted them and decided to transfer the young woman to Molina Orosa in the ambulance for having inhaled smoke. The firefighters were in charge of carrying out the mechanical ventilation of the affected rooms since the fire was already extinguished.
