A 61-year-old man has died in a traffic accident in the municipality of Tinajo, which has also left three other people injured, one of them in critical condition. The incident occurred at approximately 5:47 p.m. this Tuesday, when two cars collided head-on shortly before the La Vegueta intersection.
In one of them was only the driver, who was transferred to the hospital in critical condition, and in the other were three people, including the deceased. The other two occupants of that second vehicle also had serious injuries, but not life-threatening, according to the Security and Emergency Consortium.

In addition, firefighters had to intervene to remove the occupants from that vehicle and the deceased victim, whose body had been trapped inside the car. Finally, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the judicial authority proceeded to remove the body.
Two ambulances from the Canary Emergency Service, as well as agents from the Local Police and the Civil Guard, who had to cut off traffic for several hours, were dispatched to the scene.

As for the injured, the most serious is a 22-year-old man who was traveling alone in his vehicle, and who had to be recovered from a cardiorespiratory arrest at the scene of the accident by personnel from the Canary Emergency Service.
The other two are two 41-year-old men who were with the deceased. Both presented severe polytrauma and have also been transferred by ambulance to the Molina Orosa Hospital.
