A man in his 60s died this Friday morning on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest.
Around 10:10 a.m., the Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert reporting that a person was lying unconscious on the ground.
Two SUC ambulances, one basic life support and one medicalized, were dispatched to the scene, although upon arrival the affected person was already being attended to by the beach lifeguards and the Local Police, who were performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers. However, after 40 minutes, it could only be certified that he had died.
According to 112, the affected person was also bleeding as a result of a blow to the face, possibly due to the fall after fainting.
