National Police agents have arrested a 22-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman in Arrecife, both without police records, as alleged perpetrators of an injury crime after assaulting a third party.
The events unfolded after a call to the 091 telephone number from hospital staff reporting that they were attending to a man with several injuries apparently caused by an assault, for which he had to receive several stitches.
The police officers who went to the scene interviewed the victim, who told the officers that he had an argument with two people in a dirt parking lot near a leisure venue and that they, without saying a word, pounced on him and began to assault him. After managing to break free from his attackers, he went to the hospital.
The police officers then initiated a police investigation and, thanks to the characteristics provided by the complainant, were able to determine the identity of the alleged perpetrators, who were later located and arrested for an injury crime.
The corresponding police report was prepared and sent to the competent Judicial Authority.
