A gas explosion collapses two rooms in a house on Gabriel Díaz Street in Tías, fortunately there was no one in the rooms, so there were no injuries, only material damage. The couple who live in the house were not injured.
Around 00:57 hours, 112 receives a call alerting of a large explosion in a house in the aforementioned town. An ambulance from the SUC, agents from the Local Police of the municipality, agents from Civil Protection, from the Civil Guard are quickly sent to the scene, and the Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium are called.
Once the firefighters arrived, they verified that the explosion had occurred inside two rear rooms of a house and that it had collapsed part of it, reducing it to rubble. It was verified that there was no one inside the rooms and the gas bottle was located to leave it in a safe area. Subsequently, fragments of glass that had remained in a window were removed and the area was illuminated.
Once the cleaning work was finished and the area was secured, the agents of the Local Police were left in the area to carry out the pertinent investigations.
