Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire in an abandoned house in Arrecife "frequented by squatters" early this Saturday morning.
After being alerted by 112 around 00:51 hours, the firefighters went to the property, located on Pérez Galdós street. The Local Police were already there and the National Police arrived later.
According to the Emergency Consortium, the fire affected a room full of rubble and garbage. In the house there was a couple who apparently live there, but they were in an area not affected by the fire.
The firefighters had to use the tanker vehicle to extinguish the fire, as more than 2,000 liters of water were used.
