Agents attached to the USCI, the Citizen Security and Intervention Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife, arrested on November 25 a 38-year-old male, along with his 30-year-old partner, accused of a crime against public health for drug trafficking.
The events unfolded when agents of the Local Police of the capital of Lanzarote, providing crime prevention service, conducted an operation in a sports betting establishment located in an area of the municipality from which neighborhood complaints had been received for disturbances of order and petty drug dealing.
According to the proceedings carried out by these local agents, "the detainees were seized an amount of 5,100 euros -fractioned- a total of 30 grams of cocaine in rock in different wrappings, presumably of high purity, 30 tablets of benzodiazepines, 1 tablet of viagra, 1 piece of hashish, as well as a spray of 200 doses of nitroglycerin, a potent vasodilator both arterial and venous".
In addition to these effects, two mobile phones and two health cards in the name of third parties were seized, which could be being used for the fraudulent obtaining of medicines.
The detainees, after carrying out the appropriate police procedures, were placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
