A car suffered a fire in its engine while driving on the LZ-40 in Puerto del Carmen. The incident took place at 7:13 p.m. when CECOES received the alert.
Agents of the Civil Traffic Guard and the Emergency Consortium went to the scene. When the firefighters arrived, they observed smoke coming from the vehicle's engine after it had broken down. They disconnected the battery and cooled the engine with sprayed water and removed the car from the road.
For their part, the Civil Guard agents regulated traffic.
