A lifeless body has been located in the sea by the device deployed to search for the young man who has been missing since December 31. It was the helicopter that made the sighting, and a boat has approached the place to collect the body and verify that it is the person they were looking for.
The young man, of Swiss nationality, disappeared on the beach of El Paso, in the municipality of Yaiza. His clothes were found folded in the sand by the Local Police, along with his shoes.
Since then, the GES helicopter, the Civil Guard patrol boat, an Emerlan boat and personnel from the Security and Emergency Consortium and Civil Protection have been searching for the young man.
The corpse located has already been transferred to land by the Emerlan boat, after being recovered by the GEAS divers, and we are awaiting its identification.
