A 34-year-old woman of Polish nationality has been rescued by firefighters from the Montaña Roja Emergency Consortium after suffering a fall. The incident took place at approximately 1:44 p.m., when a call was received informing CECOES of the incident.
Firefighters from the Emergency Consortium have traveled to the scene. Once at the scene, and after verifying that the hiker was in an area difficult to access by land, the intervention of the rescue helicopter was requested. Once the firefighters put her on the stretcher, the GES helicopter took her to Lanzarote airport. An ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service was waiting for her there. The SUC staff assisted her and transferred her to Molina Orosa with trauma to one leg.
Agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard of the municipality have also collaborated in the rescue tasks.
