A 60-year-old woman was slightly injured in a traffic accident on the main avenue of the capital of Lanzarote. As a result of the impact, one of the vehicles overturned and the injured woman was trapped, so the firefighters had to remove her.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:43 p.m. on Saturday, when the Cecoes was alerted to the crash. Local Police, National Police, an ambulance from the SUC, and the Emergency Consortium were dispatched to the scene.
According to the Consortium, the Local Police had marked off the area along with the National Police, who were securing the area. Meanwhile, the medical personnel attended to the driver of one of the cars inside the vehicle until the arrival of the firefighters.
The firefighters chocked the vehicle where the injured woman was, placed a cervical collar on her along with the health services, lowered the rear seat, opened the trunk, and with the help of the board, extracted the injured woman. She was subsequently transferred by ambulance to Molina Orosa.
Later, the firefighters turned the vehicle that was upside down with the help of the winch, cleaned the road of glass, and disconnected the battery.
