The concert hall of Bodegas El Grifo hosted a spectacular concert this Sunday with two promises of music. Under the name "Classical Concert", two young musicians, the pianist Lilian Akopova, born in the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, and the German violinist Matthias Well offered a recital that aroused the admiration and applause of the public, which packed the hall.

Although of Armenian nationality, Lilian Akopova grew up in Kiev, the Ukrainian capital. At the age of 6, she was admitted to the prestigious Lysenko Central School of Music in Kiev, for gifted children and young people. At the age of 18, she finished her degree with honors. The young pianist has been awarded in 8 international European competitions with 6 first places, one second and one third, as well as other special prizes. Lilian Akopova has created this year her own foundation for children, whose central axis will be based on supporting orphaned and sick children of the civil war in Ukraine.

For his part, Matthias Well received his first violin lesson at just 4 years old. Since 2009, he has studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and since 2010 he has been a fellow of the "Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now" foundation. In addition, in the summer of 2011 he began studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, where he is a student of Professor Mikyung Lee. Currently, Matthias is in the final stage of his master's studies.

With their performance, the audience was able to enjoy a concert in capital letters, due to the professionalism and complicity of the young musicians, who chose for the occasion a select repertoire of the most famous classical composers. Compositions by Beethoven, Brahms, Tschaikovsky and Pablo Sarasate, among others, were played. The concert was scheduled to last 90 minutes, but by popular acclaim it lasted almost 2 hours. The dedication and mastery of the young musicians were at all times highly applauded, seeing themselves obliged to perform several encores. For the end they chose "Carmen Fantasy", by the composer Pablo Sarasate. The audience said goodbye to them standing up.
