The municipality of Tías presents activities on the occasion of the celebration of the Halloween and Finaos festivals. Among them, a costume making workshop, the house of fear, parades, oral narration of Finaos, trick-or-treat tales and a great Finaos Night with theater, enyesque and a concert by Almudena Hernández, José V. Perea, Orlando Niz and Adrián Niz.
The Halloween celebration will take place on Saturday, October 28, in the area of Leandro Fajardo Square (next to the Tías Municipal Theater), and on Sunday, October 29, in the El Fondeadero civic center, Puerto del Carmen.
The Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, confirms that these two locations will be the meeting points with the world of spirits. From 5:30 p.m. there will be workshops and parades and from 8:00 p.m. there will be a house of fear on Saturday in the Tías Library and on Sunday in El Fondeadero.
On Saturday in Tías and on Sunday in Puerto del Carmen, from 6:00 p.m., there will also be a costume making workshop with recycled material for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old.
In addition, the Tías City Council, organizer of this program, has the participation of the Los Burgaos and Lanzaactiva association for the preparation of the houses of fear, and with M&G Events for the preparation of the parades.
The dance groups of Anmy Rodríguez, Beatriz Senent, Jovenes de teatro Cavea, the students of the PFAE Dinamiza Tías and the members of the Sur Caliente comparsa will participate in the parades.
For Monday, October 30, two sessions of children's storytelling have been scheduled by Celia Sánchez, who will narrate trick-or-treat tales at 5:00 p.m. in the Puerto del Carmen Library and at 6:30 p.m. in the Tías Library.
The Tías Municipal Theater will host that same day, at 8:00 p.m., a special oral narration session of Finaos starring the speaker Celia Sánchez and aimed at people over 16 years of age.
On Tuesday, October 31, at 7:00 p.m., the play Tell me a Finao will be performed at the Tías Municipal Theater. For 8:00 p.m., an enyesque has been scheduled in Leandro Fajardo Square, enlivened by the Tías Music School with a varied musical repertoire, dried figs, roses, anise and roasted chestnuts.
The celebration will culminate with a great Canarian concert at 8:45 p.m. by Almudena Hernández, José V. Pérez, Orlando Niz and Adrián Niz.
