Drone show in Lanzarote

Thousands of people gathered in the vicinity of the Castle of San José to enjoy the drone show organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

A great visual spectacle with 200 drones that started on time, at 8:00 p.m. and that dyed the sky with color before the eyes of adults and children who crowded around the port area of Arrecife.

The show, under the name of “Drone light show”, unfolded from the heights the show called “Christmas in Lanzarote”, created by specialists for the occasion.

The president of the Lanzarote council, María Dolores Corujo, present at the event, stated that “the public attendance has exceeded all our expectations. Thousands of people have been able to enjoy a night to remember.”

Corujo expressed her satisfaction with the reception of this novel show and pointed out that it could be an alternative to other types of events in which excessive noise is the protagonist.

“Sometimes we do not value that our fun can cause problems by unnecessarily attacking people who are especially sensitive to noise, just as it does with many of our domestic companions,” she explained.

Two pilots, a technical manager, three observers, together with an operations coordinator and a choreography creator were in charge of controlling the dozens of flying devices with which they will draw some of the most classic motifs of these dates.

In addition, they drew allegorical figures made exclusively with already iconic images of Lanzarote such as the Devil of Timanfaya.
