The municipal tent of Teguise was the stage chosen by the Department of Festivities, supervised by the councilor Francisco Javier Díaz, to celebrate in this edition an act programmed on the occasion of the Traditional Carnival. The cold wind and the odd drop of water was the reason for the new location so that the attending public could enjoy a night much awaited by the residents of Teguise and many visitors from other parts of the island.
The spacious facilities of the tent were flooded with the presence of the invited groups putting the color and rhythm with their own songs, which in the past were heard in traditional dances in the societies of Lanzarote.
Without a doubt, the appearance on stage of Los Diabletes raised a lot of expectation, especially among the little ones, who, terrified when they approached, sought refuge in their parents. Their clothing painted with rhombuses, the sound of the bells and especially the masks, was the reason for the flashes of mobile phones to be fired to immortalize the moment.
Another of the attractions of the night was starred by the famous Toros de Tao, making a wide tour of the entire view and with their prolonged horns attacking the odd daring who challenged him. In addition, the traditional Revestidas masks were in charge of capturing how the inhabitants of Lanzarote managed to enjoy a few days of carnival rummaging in the old trunks some suit, pants or shirt to go out to run the carnival through the streets of the town and then at night go to the society to dance and enjoy playing the odd joke on the suitor or the bride.
In the tent there was no lack of good music enlivened by the parrandas El Golpito and Son del Norte, infecting the attending public to leave their seats to mark some dances as the tradition dictates.
