Arrecife was once again filled with excitement this January 5th with the celebration of the Great Three Kings Parade, one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas calendar. The parade began around 6:00 PM from the Puerto Naos roundabout, next to Agramar, and culminated in Islas Canarias Park, drawing hundreds of families along the entire route.
The day began in the morning with one of the most symbolic moments of the eve of Kings' Day. The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, along with the deputy mayor, Echedey Eugenio, personally handed over the keys to the city to Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar. A gesture steeped in tradition that, according to legend, allows Their Majesties to magically access all homes at night to leave gifts next to the shoes of the children of Arrecife, accompanied by some refreshments
For approximately four hours, the Three Wise Men toured different neighborhoods of the municipality, bringing illusion and joy to every corner of the capital. Valterra, Altavista, Maneje, Argana Alta and Argana Baja, Titerroy, La Vega, Tenorio, Los Alonso, San Francisco Javier, La Concha, Las Salinas, and the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital were some of the places visited by the royal entourage
