In the extensive program of the San Ginés festivities, on Friday night the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture hosted the concert "A Lyrical Journey", by the soprano Lorena Torres and the pianist Diana Martínez, where an audience eager to enjoy lyrical singing filled the allowed capacity.
It is a place sought after by professionals in this musical genre, due to the acoustic qualities that allow their voices to reach each of the listeners with total clarity. Lorena, a young soprano with a degree in Pedagogy and a professional piano degree, studied at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Santa Cruz Tenerife. In addition, as a soprano, she receives her lyrical training from the baritone Augusto Brito, and she also trains with the soprano Carmen Acosta, performing various concerts of classical and modern style.
The pianist Diana Martínez completed her piano studies at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Málaga, and has performed concerts as a soloist and accompanist in Andalusia, Barcelona and Lanzarote. Also, she is currently a teacher at the Insular Center for Musical Education of Arrecife
Lorena, who was very excited to perform again at the House of Culture of Arrecife, performed works by great composers such as Mozart, Bellini, Sorozábal, Serrano and García Leoz. Both the soprano and the pianist delighted the audience with the great repertoire chosen. The concert ended with the work, "Quando me´vo" (Puccine), Opera La Bohéme.
