La Voz is already receiving the first short stories that will compete in the XII edition of this literary contest. On this occasion, participants must tell a micro-story, real or fictional, in which the radio is the protagonist. As in previous editions, the maximum length of the stories must be 100 words, including the title if there is one.
One more year, the Tourist Centers will collaborate with the contest, whose participation period will extend until August 31.
Each author may send a maximum of five stories, which may be signed with a pseudonym, although they must always indicate a name and contact telephone number. All those who wish to participate can send their stories to concursorelatos@lanzarotemedia.net.
The stories will be read in the "Reading on the Radio" section of Radio Lanzarote (90.7), and published in La Voz de Lanzarote. Both publication and reading will be subject to the space and time availability of both media.
The decision of the contest, which will be made public in the second half of September, will be made by a jury made up of journalists from Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero and La Voz de Lanzarote, who will choose three winning stories and seven finalists.
The winner of the first prize will get a dinner for two at the Castillo de San José restaurant, while the second prize is one of the unusual experiences for two people from the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo de Lanzarote. Finally, the third prize is a meal for two people at the Monumento al Campesino restaurant. All prizes are for adults.
The accounts,
I select an espresso coffee in the colorful vending machine that will take two minutes to be expelled. Meanwhile, I connect the mixing table and continue with the daily protocol in my five hours of professional work. I set the volume adjustments to level three and keep the tone and presence at five. With a cup of coffee in my hand, I fine-tune my voice.
One, two, three, four, testing, testing...the voice seems clear. Everything ready to start in two seconds. ”Good afternoon and welcome to this radio space for lovers of letters. Now begins...One Hundred Words”.

The old man was perplexed by that talking wooden contraption in the shape of a box. His grandson manipulated it by turning some wheels that moved a needle similar to those of a compass in a glass sphere. The recently graduated young man explained that the information is recorded in the form of an electrical signal and that the transmitting antenna converts that signal into an electromagnetic wave so that it can travel through space without the need for cables.
The stunned grandfather blurted out: ¿Is that what you learned at the University?. ¿Aren't you able to tell me how that little man got inside?
That's How I Am
I am of the feminine gender like the flower, although I do not give off any odor.
I offer you my company without expecting to be reciprocated.
I am invisible and that is why I awaken imagination in you.
I am not flesh and blood although I am full of feelings.
I am very popular because I reach almost every corner.
I am very accessible, I am sure you have me in your house or in your car.
To be alive I only need...you to turn me on.

Iriome strolled quietly through the port of Playa Blanca. He wore headphones that kept him connected to a small radio that he kept in his pants pocket.
Through his eyes he visualized the outside world that surrounded him as he walked through the port that saw him grow up.
But he was not alone, someone accompanied him and constantly conquered him through his small headphones. Where stories, songs and kind and generous poetry were woven that always put color to his day. Where words flowed like sonorous rivers that carried his deepest thoughts to some ocean.
