La Villa de Teguise is fully celebrating its carnival, and on Thursday night at 9:00 p.m. on the stage of the Santo Domingo convent, the Chirimurga del Timple presented its show "Those who eat the Coco".

Its eight members, with the musical accompaniment of a guitar, timple and bongos, infected the public during the more than ninety minutes of their performance. Since its inception in 2006 in Gran Canaria, every year they continue to surprise wherever they go with the sympathy as only they know how to do.

That mixture between chirigota and murga always achieves great shows, to which they add the most current that is currently news in society, as well as a bit of satire and social criticism, always mixed with very good humor.

The chirimurga del Timple managed to cross the barrier of the stage with the response of the public, who very enthusiastically, accompanied each of their adventures full of anecdotes with applause, linked with rhythms as peculiar as the couplet, pasodobles and some other chain of potpourris.

The show "Those who eat the Coco" has been an arduous work of more than six months of research, in the location of each of the characters, who then come to life on stage. The show puts content with grace and sympathy in each of them, with the purpose that the public enjoys and for a few minutes puts aside the problems that the news reminds us of every moment.

La Chirimurga del Timple is characterized by starting a laugh in each performance with its very elaborate stagings, and some very groundbreaking lyrics with the healthy intention that the public enjoys as much as they do every time they have the opportunity to go on stage. Six years of experience awakening consciences and entertaining the public as only they know how to do.
