The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture became this Saturday the epicenter of Spanish zarzuela with the final gala of the third edition of the "Zarzuela Season of the Atlantic". The attending public was able to enjoy a magnificent concert with three great artists, the baritone Augusto Brito, the soprano Cecilia Rodríguez and the pianist Ricardo Francia.
A luxury gala in a welcoming setting that meets all the conditions in acoustics and stage space, very important elements for artists to feel comfortable and safe during their performance.
The concert began with "Sing you Nightingale" - The Latin muses (M. Penella), with the Tenerife soprano Cecilia Rodríguez. Cecilia, who has a very elaborate, powerful and sweet timbre of voice combined with an impeccable staging, captivated the public from the first moment, who received her with warm applause.
For his part, the Tenerife baritone Augusto Brito began his performance with "Nest Heat" - Katiuska (P. Sorozábal). The potential and clarity of his voice was felt, completely filling the entire stage space. His elegant performance was very well received by the public, rewarding his interpretations with their applause.
Soprano and baritone were very well accompanied on the piano by the Gran Canaria professor Ricardo Francia.

The concert featured a wide range of zarzuelas, well-known works created by greats such as Francisco Alonso, José Serrano, Federico Moreno Torroba, among others. Compositions such as Canción del Gitano, Para comprar a un Hombre, Somos dos Barcas" etc. were played in the hall of the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture. Cecilia and Augusto performed some songs solo and others as a duet in which the complicity between them transcended the stage space, always supported by Professor Ricardo Francia on the piano.
They finished the concert with "Todas las Mañanitas" from Don Gil de Alcalá by the composer Manuel Penella.
