The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture was, during Thursday afternoon, the setting for the inauguration of the exhibition "Anthropology of a murder. Dozens of people did not want to miss the work of the Lanzarote artist Pepe Betancort, who also illustrated to those present the activities that will be carried out until November 2, the date on which the exhibition ends.
The deputy mayor and councilor of Culture of the Arrecife City Council, José Alfredo Mendoza, highlighted the "great work of the artist", who received a great ovation from those present. "Once again, Pepe Betancort has shown us how good an artist he is and this work is good proof of this. I encourage the people of Lanzarote to come and visit it and enjoy it."
The author of the exhibition "Anthropology of a Murder" has highlighted the activities that will take place at the House of Culture until November 2. "Attendees will be able to enjoy two guided tours to learn more about what it takes to carry out a work of this nature." The first will be on September 4 and the second on October 30.
The people of Lanzarote will be able to come and visit the exhibition from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays will also be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The deadline to visit the House of Culture and see this work will be until November 2.
This work is designed to illustrate to attendees the effect that certain landscapes, places, traditionally associated with murders, have on our minds. The artist has also left some moments of the story he tells in the work to the viewer's imagination.
