Lanzarote photographer Juan Méndez presents his exhibition Night Walker since last Saturday, October 14 at La Casa Amarilla, the old Cabildo of Lanzarote.

This exhibition, organized by the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, includes a series of nocturnal photographs taken by Méndez in different places, mainly on the islands of Lanzarote, El Hierro and La Palma in the Canary Islands, or on Mount Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre or the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentine Patagonia.

"The photographs have in common the author's attempt to capture the elusive magic of the natural landscape. They are intimate portraits of the immensity of the landscape, offering a unique and moving vision of nature in its purest state, capturing the essence and magic of these places in the stillness of the night," says the Cabildo of Lanzarote. Although the true protagonists of the photographs are the skies, where we can contemplate galaxies, shooting stars or the Great Magellanic Cloud seen from Argentina.

For the Councilor of the Education and Data Center Area, Ascensión Toledo, who visited the exhibition with its author this Wednesday, October 18, "it is an honor to have the work of Juan Méndez in an exhibition space of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. Thanks to this young photographer, the name of our island has reached every corner of the world."

Night Walker can be seen until December 2 at La Casa Amarilla, located at Calle León y Castillo, 6, in Arrecife. Admission is free and visiting hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sundays and holidays closed.
