The Haría City Council, in collaboration with the Island Council, the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, and the seven municipalities of the Island, celebrated a new edition of the Inclusive Island Parade on the morning of this Friday, March 21. This initiative, which is part of the municipality's Carnival program, brought together more than 800 people from special education centers, enclave classrooms, adapted vocational training, and groups that promote social inclusion.

The mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, thanked all the participating entities for their involvement. "From the City Council, we are proud to have hosted another edition of this Inclusive Island Parade, which reinforces the commitment to social integration," he stated.

For her part, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Evelia García, highlighted that "this parade is a demonstration that Carnival can and should be for everyone." "We will continue to promote initiatives that foster inclusion and equal opportunities for all people," she concluded.

The Parade began in the parking lot of the municipal institute and traveled the main streets of the town until reaching the Haría square. As a novelty, the Inclusive Carnival School participated in this edition, an initiative promoted by the Los Simplones musical group and Adislan, and supported by the Island Council.

In addition, there was the batucada of the Creciendo Yaiza association and four others, which helped to liven up the route. There were also two adapted floats for people with reduced mobility, a universal access area, and sensory spaces for those who required a quieter environment.

This event "is another example of the commitment of public administrations to social integration and the celebration of diversity in Carnival," they conclude from the City Council.
