Last Friday night, the island of La Graciosa celebrated the first phase of the "X Timple Encounter", with the magnificent concert of the young timple player from Tenerife, Alba Chávez, who was accompanied on guitar by Raquel Álvarez and the voice of the soloist Yumara Luis.

The stage installed on Avenida Virgen del Mar in Caleta de Sebo brought together residents and visitors who supported with their applause the more than 90 minutes that the trio remained on stage performing a varied repertoire with the most traditional and popular of Canarian music.

Alba Chávez was attracted by the "sound camel" and began her contact with traditional Canarian music in 2007 at the Folklore School of Adeje in Tenerife. Currently, she has continued her musical training with great timple masters such as Benito Cabrera and Víctor Estárico, participating in folk groups on the island of Tenerife.

Chávez has an exciting project with the trio format, counting on two great companions such as Raquel Álvarez, a woman who achieves everything she sets out to do with the guitar, and the young Yumara Luis, who joins her with vocal qualities and registers that allow her to interpret any musical genre.

The three young women, with their dedication and good work, conquered the audience that gathered around the stage to not miss a concert that has left its mark on La Octava.

Alicia Páez, councilor of the Teguise City Council, and Paco Chinea, representative of Multitrack, congratulated the young women for the magnificent performance carried out. When they were finishing the concert, the very animated audience asked them to continue, a request they accepted by performing some encores.
