The young Jeniffer Hernández Rodriguez has been the winner of the first edition of the Song Festival of the town of La Asomada, held on the occasion of the festivity of San José Obrero. This new singing contest "featured the participation of 10 performers and the special performance of the comedian Maestro Florido, famous for his appearances in different programs of the Canarian Television", according to the City Council of Tías.
Jennifer Hernández was proclaimed winner of the festival with the song "Como mirarte". Nerea Sosa de Rada, with the theme "Corre", won the second prize and the third went to the young Nazaret Cortés Alcántara, with the song "Wrecking Ball". This festival is part of the cultural and leisure program of the City Council of Tías for the patron saint festivities of La Asomada.
According to the Consistory, "a socio-cultural center packed with public enjoyed, equally, with the performances of Suilberto Iznaga Fabelo, Nerea Gil Giménez, Armando Ravelo, Beatriz Mª Galindo Domínguez, Mª de los Ángeles de la Guardia del Toro, Gonzalo Héctor Robledo Veigas and Ruth Suárez Rodríguez". Likewise, he has indicated that the Department of Festivities of the City Council of Tías allocated 600 euros for prizes distributed among the three winning performers.
During the deliberation of the members of the jury, the humor of Maestro Florido "started numerous laughs among the attending public", have pointed out from the City Council.
