Club Deportivo Tahíche was decorated with the Gold Badge of the Insular Football Federation of Las Palmas (FIFLP). An act that took place in the ordinary session of the General Assembly held on July 27th.
Olivia Duque and the Councilor for Sports, Alejandro Ramírez, were the municipal representatives, who traveled to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, who accompanied the president of CD.Tahíche, Carmelo Figueroa to collect the Gold Badge of the FIFLP for the recognition of the 50th anniversary of the sports club.
"I am sure that they will continue to add challenges and collective effort to achieve the gold and brilliant medal that is awarded with 75 years of history, because it is a club in which the illusion does not wane", said the mayor of Teguise.
History
CD.Tahíche, like many other football clubs in the municipality, arose from the concern of the young people of this town, who were looking for a leisure alternative. Once a management team made up of Luciano Pérez, Agapito Pérez, Ramón Cabrera, Jorge Pérez and Pedro Fontes was formed, the procedures are initiated so that the club can compete in Lanzarote. In the 70s, the first team was formed, under the baton of Francisco Fuentes, and which already plays matches in Arrecife, San Bartolomé or Haría. As a federated team, it began to compete in the 1974-75 season.
Already at that time, he incorporated an children's team into his training, led by Agustín Valdivia. And in 1991, CD.Tahíche was registered in the registry of sports clubs, groups and federations of the Canary Autonomous Community. In the 93/94 season he was champion of the play off, although he lost the promotion with the Pájara of Fuerteventura, and in the 2001-2002 season he reached the title of the First Regional category.
