Lanzarote will once again be the setting for the MEETINGS FESTVAL LANZAROTE audiovisual conference, organized by SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote and the FesTVal (Television Festival) with the celebration of its second edition between the upcoming June 19, 20 and 21. Arrecife will once again be the main stage that will host a program of activities aimed at both the professional sector and the general public.
The official presentation of the professional cycle program took place today, Monday, May 19 in Arrecife with the presence of Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Héctor Fernández, CEO of SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote and Joseba Fiestras, director of the FesTVal.
The premiere of this second edition of MEETINGS FESTVAL LANZAROTE will take place on Thursday, June 19 with the inauguration of the FesTVal headquarters in the Unelco Hall, in the Multicines Atlántida building, in Arrecife, followed by a talk on the 'Stories of television', directed by the director of the FesTVal, Joseba Fiestras.
Projections open to the public
Also from AMC Networks International, the Atlántida cinemas in Arrecife will host the premiere of the first two episodes of 'PHARAOHS: RISE AND FALL', the 2025 documentary super production of Canal HISTORIA that analyzes these Gods who walked among men, from Narmer to Cleopatra VII.
The same stage will serve as the screening location for the movie 'HOTEL BITCOIN', one of the most outstanding recent national productions; four friends find a fortune in lost bitcoins. Thus begins a crazy adventure to protect not only the unexpected fortune, but also their friendship. A comedy directed by Manuel Sanabria, who after the screening, will participate in a colloquium with the attending public together with part of the artistic cast of the film.
The most professional audiovisual sector will have special relevance thanks to a meeting promoted by the Ministry of Culture where the use of ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN AUDIOVISUAL will be addressed, an event in which the use of AI in programs and documentary series will be debated, in addition to the management of the resulting copyright, and which will feature the presence, among other professionals in the sector, of Carmen Páez, Undersecretary of Culture of the central Government.
Born in Noia in 1975, Ramón Campos, film and television screenwriter who took his first steps in Galician television, is today one of the most important names in the audiovisual industry through Bambú Producciones. Campos' professional career has been linked for years to productions that have managed to attract the public such as 'Gran Hotel', 'Galerías Velvet', 'Fariña', 'El caso Asunta' or 'How to hunt a monster', among many others. Campos will be the protagonist of a tribute in recognition of his referential career in Spanish fiction.

The day of Saturday, June 21 will serve as an ideal framework to promote Lanzarote among the guests of the conference through a PRESS TRIP around the island in addition to a Networking event to detail the tax advantages of filming in Lanzarote.
The delivery of the II FesTVal Lanzarote Awards and a gala dinner will close this second edition of MEETINGS FESTVAL LANZAROTE which will also feature the presence, among others, of Miguel Lago, Belinda Washington, Antonio Pagudo, Xavier Deltell, the Twin Melody, Poty Castillo, Manuel Sanabria, Daniel Muriel, Jota Abril or Angel Pons, among others.
