The Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council has announced the return of Noon Canarias to the Agustín de La Hoz House of Culture, which will begin this Saturday, August 24. Noon Canarias 2024 will offer a series of concerts and musical formations that promise to become a cultural reference on the island.

After the success of the previous season, this festival, which promotes music, tourism and sustainability in the Canary Islands, will once again fill the city with life with a program that will last for four months, until December 2024.

The new season will begin this Saturday, August 24 with the performance of the 'Viola Lora Quartet', followed by the 'Fama Quartet' on Saturday, August 31. Both concerts will take place at 12:00 noon at the Agustín de La Hoz House of Culture, with free admission until full capacity is reached.

In their concert, 'Viola Lora Quartet' will offer a repertoire that ranges from jazz standards to contemporary compositions. Their performance promises a musical journey where the everyday is transformed into something extraordinary, with technique and emotion in each interpretation.

For its part, 'Fama Quartet' will take over with a musical journey that will include works as varied as Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the Flowers', Romanian rhythms by Bartók, Piazzolla's tango and Spanish melodies by Ferrero, culminating with Paquito D’Rivera's 'Afro', a piece that invites a vibrant musical dialogue full of energy.

“These concerts are just the beginning of a season that promises to bring the best of music to Arrecife. We want each performance to be an invitation to discover new emotions and enjoy art in its maximum expression,” said Abigail González.

The councilor, who shows her satisfaction with the start of the new season, recalled that Noon Canarias, “is a festival that not only celebrates music in all its forms, but also reinforces Arrecife's commitment to cultural tourism.”

In this way, the capital's representative has invited the population “to join this experience, where musical quality and emotion go hand in hand.”
