The Civil Guard of Lanzarote and the Special Group of Underwater Activities (GEAS) of the Benemérita have located new bone remains on the coast of Lanzarote. Specifically, the Investigating Court in charge of the search has confirmed that this past Thursday more bones were located in the same area of Charco del Palo in which part of a skeleton was found on March 18, from the area of the knees to the spine.
Thus, according to the Communication Office of the Court to La Voz, next week these bones will be sent for analysis. Meanwhile, in this town in the municipality of Haría, remains have already been found on up to three different occasions. However, so far there are no results from any of the remains sent to the laboratory.
The Court has also reported that, for now, "it cannot even be affirmed with certainty that they are human".
The Civil Guard has been sweeping the coast east of Lanzarote in search of bone remains during the last days. This search occurred after cleaning service workers found bones on March 18.
