The Criminal Court number 1 of Lanzarote will judge this Wednesday, July 5, the Lanzarote businessman Ángel Ramón Tejera, alias Mon, for an alleged crime against the Public Treasury.

The Prosecutor's Office asks for him three years in prison, a fine of 488,015.04 euros (three times the hidden and unpaid fee) and the loss of the right to obtain subsidies or public aid, as well as the right to enjoy tax or social security benefits or incentives for four years. At the same time, the special disqualification for the right of passive suffrage during the time of the sentence and the payment of the costs of the trial.

Likewise, the Public Ministry requests Tejera to assume his civil responsibility through the payment of 162,171.68 euros to compensate the Tax Agency, value of the money allegedly defrauded.

According to the Public Prosecutor's Office in its indictment, Ángel Ramón Tejera, as administrator of Angrasurcor SL, would have declared the Corporation Tax for the year 2016 "omitting" allegedly income that he had obtained in the aforementioned company and deducting expenses "that in no way can have such consideration".

In this sense, he pointed out that some expenses that the businessman from Conejero would have tried to deduct were personal expenses and not related to the company or that do not correspond to any service offered and would not have been justified.

In the aforementioned writing, Ángel Ramón Tejera, known as "Mon" in the summary of the Mediador case, is accused of generating an "evident damage to the public coffers".

In income received and not declared through Agrasurcor SL, the Public Ministry highlights 14,500 euros, "whose origin has not been documented and that were accounted for as cash movements to banks".

In this line, the Prosecutor's Office highlights as the "most important section" the expenses that were included as deductible. "728,254.58 euros as supplies, 86,122.55 euros as personnel expenses, 35,918.26 euros as operating expenses, 388.19 as amortization of fixed assets, 1,432.9 euros as other results and 92.03 as financial expenses".

Part of the expenses classified as deductible were not justified by the defendant upon request from the Court. "But not only has the existence of the expenses not been justified, nor has the payment of the same been justified, given that the provisions made respond to personal expenses and not to the needs of the economic activity carried out by the company".
