The complete remodeling of the Radisson Blu Resort, Lanzarote hotel, in Costa Teguise, formerly Coronas Playa, and that of the MYND Yaiza hotel, formerly Sun Park apartments, in Playa Blanca, was presented this week by the hotel manager Canarian Hospitality.
The renovation of both establishments has involved an investment of more than 27 million euros in total and direct employment for 120 workers. The reform has been possible thanks to a novel figure of indirect materialization of the RIC, through a collective investment fund.
The transformation of the old Hotel Coronas Playa into the modern Hotel Radisson Blu de Costa Teguise has also meant the exit from the ERTE of the almost 100 workers that the owning and operating company of the hotel had.
Canarian Hospitality has also announced the opening of a third hotel in Lanzarote, specifically in Playa Blanca, for 2025, so it states that Lanzarote becomes the "star destination of the company."
Radisson Blu Resort, 100% renewable energy
Located in Costa Teguise and with wide views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Radisson Blu Resort generates 100% of the energy consumption needed by the establishment during the day with its solar panels. It has 225 suites with terraces and four heated swimming pools, as well as a wellness center with a gym and spa.
The resort has three restaurants with sea views: Sesto Senso offers a combination of traditional Italian recipes with seasonal Canarian products. Tremor is a buffet-style restaurant with local and international dishes, while Maar offers tapas, poke bowls and salads in an informal 'beach club' environment.
According to the promoter, it is recommended for adults, honeymoon couples, athletes and travelers with pets, among other profiles.
MYND Yaiza, 12 types of rooms
The MYND Yaiza hotel is characterized according to its promoters as a "family-friendly hotel, welcoming and sustainable" to discover Lanzarote.
It has two different areas to welcome different types of travelers. On the one hand, 'Family Space', designed for families with children, with spacious rooms, activities, entertainment and children's pools. On the other hand, there is 'Relax Zone', an area for adults looking for tranquility and rest, with a variety of rooms.
This diversity in the profile of its guests means that the MYND Yaiza has 12 different types of rooms. The hotel also includes the bar Elhola and the restaurants, Lamesa and Lallama.
Canarian Hospitality plans to move a turnover of 28 million euros in sales in the archipelago this year, with 856 operational rooms in the Canary Islands, in its establishments in Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura.
