The Cabildo and Binter sign an agreement to promote tourism in Lanzarote in European markets

The airline also announced the purchase of new Embraer aircraft for long-distance travel, some of which could be based in Lanzarote

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through SPEL-Turismo de Lanzarote, and the airline Binter Canarias have signed this Thursday an agreement to promote the connectivity and promotion of the Island in the tourist markets of Spain, Portugal and France. 

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and counselor of SPEL-Turismo Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, held a meeting with the representatives of Binter, Santiago Alfonso Guerra and Jonay Lobo, with the objective of materializing this co-execution marketing campaign that aims to increase the weight of the Island in these destinations. 

Betancort highlighted the work done by Binter to expand its services internationally, being a reference in the tourism sector of the Canary Islands, as well as the benefits that this may have for the image of Lanzarote after the signing of this agreement. 

The representatives of the airline thanked the predisposition of the Cabildo of Lanzarote to continue betting on a Canarian company for the development of the economic engine of the Archipelago and assured that this agreement will be fruitful for both parties. 

The campaign, which includes promotions on social networks, media and outdoor advertising, among other channels, will be developed in several Autonomous Communities of Spain, in Toulouse or in Funchal, with the possibility of reaching millions of people around the world.

In another line of business, the president learned about the acquisition by Binter of several new Embraer aircraft for long-distance travel, some of which could be based in Lanzarote, "which will contribute to further increasing the tourist weight of the Island," he said.
