Based on the high immunization rates globally and once the acute phase of the Covid 19 pandemic has passed, surveillance and control measures have been updated at the national level, so this Friday the health controls imposed to enter Spain are eliminated and also at the borders of Ceuta and Melilla, according to the orders of the Ministry of Health published today in the Official State Gazette (BOE).
"In order to favor the normalization of international mobility, with the least possible impact on public health, it is considered convenient to invalidate the health control measures for people from countries not belonging to the European Union or with the consideration of Schengen associated countries", establishes the resolution published this Thursday and collected by the Hosteltur news portal.
Currently, the health controls, which were established to prevent the spread of the virus, were limited to people from countries not belonging to the European Union or with the consideration of Schengen associated countries.
Since September 21, international travelers no longer have to fill out the form or present the QR code of Spain Travel Health at the borders, but controls were applied focused exclusively on temperature detection and visual control of travelers.
