Despite the fact that Lanzarote has an enormous complementary gastronomic offer of quality, 26% of tourists who visit the island continue to contract "all inclusive" with the hotels in which they stay.

Of the 647,000 tourists who visited Lanzarote between January and March, a total of 168,000 chose to book all inclusive, according to the Survey on Tourist Spending, prepared quarterly by the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).

However, the percentage has decreased almost six points since before the pandemic. In the first quarter of last year they were 30.7% of tourists and in the same period of 2019 they had been 31.2%

All inclusive reaches 43.3% in Fuerteventura

By nationalities, ISTAC only distinguishes four groups for Lanzarote, British, Germans, Spaniards and other countries. Among those who book all inclusive, residents in the United Kingdom accounted for more than half of those who choose this mode of travel, specifically they are 53.7% of the total. The Germans were 9.3%, the Spaniards 7.26% and the rest of the countries totaled 29.6%

In an approach by islands, this type of tourist contracting is still enormous in Fuerteventura. There it represents 43.3% of tourism. On the other hand, it is lower in Gran Canaria, where it represents 21.9%, and much lower in Tenerife and La Palma, both with 17.9%.
