Lanzarote's hotel entrepreneurs foresee an occupancy rate of over 80% in both July and August, while forecasts for September are slightly lower, remaining at 76.5%, according to the latest Hotel Expectation Survey from the Canary Islands Institute of Statistics (ISTAC).

However, the good expectations will lead to a general increase in prices and turnover, according to more than 60% of the island's hotel entrepreneurs. Almost half believe that they will also increase the workforce this summer.

Regarding the nationalities of the tourists who will visit the island during the summer months, Lanzarote's hoteliers foresee an increase in arrivals of English tourists and travelers from Peninsular Spain.

In contrast, a considerable decrease in Nordic travelers is expected, and to a lesser extent, German tourists.
