In the second quarter of the year, a total of 185,101 travelers arrived in Lanzarote from national airports on the peninsula. This was 9.4% more than those who landed in the same period of last year when 167,294 arrivals were recorded.

However, the increase is much more evident in comparison with the 2019 data. In the second quarter of that year, 128,638 travelers arrived from peninsular airports, which represents a growth of 30.4% this year.

National tourism behaved differently during the pandemic and arrivals, except for the months of strict suspension of mobility, did not decrease as drastically as international arrivals. This trend has continued to rise this year.

For their part, arrivals from foreign airports, 639,970 between April and June, were 6.6% higher than those recorded in the same period of last year. Compared to 2019, the growth has been 4.2%, when 612,802 people landed from foreign airports.
