Of the 266,000 tourists who arrived in Lanzarote this July, more than 121,000 were British. The United Kingdom is also the issuing market that is experiencing the greatest growth compared to last year, with the number of arrivals almost multiplying by seven. There were also more British people who arrived this July compared to July 2019, when there were 117,000.

The total number of visitors to Lanzarote was very close to reaching the data for the same month of 2019 in July, when the island received 270,000 tourists.

The second place in tourist arrivals to Lanzarote this July is occupied by the national market, which with 43,639 arrivals barely experiences growth compared to last year. It is also slightly higher than the national arrivals of July 2019, when there were 41,347 people.

The third place in number of arrivals is occupied by the Netherlands, from where 31,599 tourists arrived, five times more than in 2021, but also many more than those who arrived in the same month of 2019 when there were 8,590.

Germany was the origin of 17,320 travelers this July, 42% more than the same month last year, but still 22% below the data for the same period of 2019

From France came 16,372 tourists this July and with an 18% increase it is the foreign market that grows the least compared to 2021. Despite this, there were just over 2,000 more French than in the same month of 2019.

From Ireland arrived 8,290 people, almost double that in July last year, although still very far from the figures reached in the same month of 2019 when there were almost 40,000 visitors.

With 6,856 arrivals, the number of Belgian visitors has also doubled compared to July last year. If we compare the data with the same month of 2019, the increase in arrivals from Belgium is 576 more people.

Something very similar has happened with the Italian market, which, with 6,566 arrivals, also doubles the number of visitors compared to July last year. Compared to July 2019, 832 more Italians have arrived.

From the group of Nordic countries came 4,532 travelers this July, 63% more than last year. Compared to the same pre-pandemic period, this represents a growth of 32%.

Finally, the rest of the issuing countries totaled 9,789 tourists this July, still far from the 13,175 who arrived in July 2019.
