The Arrecife City Council is renovating all the tourist information signs displayed throughout the city and is incorporating into the vinyl-labeled panels a tourist guide adapted to new technologies and in several languages.

Through a QR code the guide can be downloaded with the aim of improving the experiences of visitors when they are in the city. The guide offers routes, commercial, cultural and leisure proposals.

So, visitors will be able to access a narration that details the history of the capital, its tourist attractions, its commercial, cultural, and leisure offer, also including the offer of the neighborhoods in addition to the center.

The guide offers detailed information and videos in Spanish, English and German and will include an events agenda.

The mayor, Yonathan de León, highlighted that the guide dedicates a section to the figure of César Manrique and his intervention in the public spaces of Arrecife, such as Las Palmas square, José Ramírez Cerdá Park, El Almacén, the MIAC Castillo de San José, or the Charco de San Ginés promenade, which bears the name of this favorite son of Arrecife and Lanzarote.

The Councilor for Tourism, Eli Merino highlighted the 640,000 tourists who arrived in Arrecife on cruises last year and the 700,000 expected in the current year. The guide aims to "position the capital as a place of visit, and stay, and increase tourism competitiveness".
