Europe's collection of independent and sustainable hotels, Quartz Inn Hotels, based in London, has announced the winners of the 2nd edition of the European Sustainable Tourism Awards "GrINN Awards 2023". These awards recognize the outstanding sustainability efforts of hundreds of hotels and tourism companies from 51 European countries, competing in 100 categories.
Eslanzarote, a vacation apartment management company in Lanzarote, has been awarded as the Best Sustainable Vacation Rental Company in Europe, thanks to its remarkable initiatives in favor of the environment and its commitment to new renewable energies and eco and sustainable tourism. Lanzarote is represented again in these awards, after the victory in 2022 of the Hotel Los Lirios de Tías, who won the GrINN Award for Best Sustainable Accommodation in Spain.
Promote good sustainable practices
The jury of the awards, composed of prominent figures in the tourism sector, stressed the importance of continuing to promote good environmental practices in the industry and recognize the efforts of companies in terms of sustainability.
The formation was formed by Branislava Grbic, Sales Manager of Rosewood Hotels Group; Jolanta Dziewit, Sustainability Director of iVisitKrakow.com; Francisco Rodríguez Mora, Head Chef of The Trout at Tadpole Bridge; Katie Ellam, CEO of Book Eco Hotels; Roeland Verhamme, CEO of Expect Me and Ignacio Merino, Head of Strategic Alliances of Freetour.com. Jolanta Dziewit commented: "My sincere congratulations to all the winners and participants of the GrINN Awards 2023. Their dedication and effort to create a more sustainable industry is truly commendable. Together, we have to shape a more responsible and environmentally friendly future."
