The average price of housing in Lanzarote exceeded 2,500 euros per square meter in July for the first time in its history, which represents an increase of 13.2% in the last year, according to figures published by the Lanzarote Data Center.

However, prices on the island vary greatly depending on the area, and their growth rate is also far from uniform. The largest percentage increase in the last year has occurred in the municipality of Tías, where prices have increased by 22.2% to reach 3,417 euros per square meter.

Next is Arrecife, where prices have increased by 16.5% in the last twelve months to reach 1,762 euros per square meter last July.

Homes in the municipality of Yaiza are on average the most expensive on the island, so much so that the square meter is about to reach 3,500 euros. However, their prices are growing at a rate of 8% per year, much lower than that recorded in Arrecife and Tías.

The fourth municipality in which prices grew the most in the last year is Tinajo, where they did so in the vicinity of 7%, which means that the square meter is about to reach 2,000 euros.

In Haría and Teguise, prices grew at a very similar rate, 6.17% and 6.11% respectively. Thus, the square meter is currently located at 2,393 euros in Teguise and 2,149 in Haría.

The municipality with the lowest price increase in the last year is San Bartolomé. In the last year they rose by 1.3% and currently mark 2,042 euros per square meter.
