Lanzarote kicks off its participation in Madrid Fusión 2026, the country's most influential gastronomic congress, with "an unprecedented island expedition working under the Saborea Lanzarote seal and with a prominent presence of quality products in various event spaces" until Wednesday, January 28, at IFEMA Madrid.

The Lanzarote delegation lands in the capital with a notable representation of producers, wineries, cheese dairies, chefs, and industry professionals, in a renewed commitment to promoting local products, young talent, and collaboration among all links in the value chain.

The Minister of Economic Promotion of the Cabildo, Nori Machín, has highlighted the sector's role as a driver of the island's external positioning: "Lanzarote travels to Madrid with a historic expedition: producers, cheese dairies, wineries, and chefs who faithfully represent who we are. We are going to Madrid Fusión with the strength of a cohesive sector and with its own gastronomic narrative, linked to the volcanic landscape and the sea".

Throughout the three days, Saborea Lanzarote will unfold an intense agenda at its stand in Pavilion 14, featuring tastings, pastry making, local produce, and a space dedicated to "Territorio Líquido", in addition to specific activities at the Saborea España stand and workshops led by professionals from Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

One of the highlights of Saborea Lanzarote's participation in Madrid Fusión will be the presence of teachers and students from the CIFP Zonzamas Culinary School who, this very Monday (1:30 PM), will visit the Lanzarote stand during their educational tour of the exhibition center.

Oswaldo Betancort, president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, has stated that this participation "strengthens the vision of a responsible tourist destination, where gastronomy is a strategic lever for development and a direct link to our identity". Betancort also emphasizes that "we want a model that benefits the citizens, that generates opportunities and quality of life".
